ELIDA - Frederick E. Hawkins, of Elida, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Lima Memorial Hospital. Born in Marion, Indiana he was the son of the late William and Alice (Finch) Hawkins. He married Shirley (Spence) Hawkins on October 19, 1974. He retired after 36 years with Ford Motor Company, Lima, Ohio. He is a 1969 graduate of Bath High School. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War with the United States Army. He was a member of Cairo United Methodist Church, Cairo Gun Club, Country Diamond Dancers, VFW Post 9648 Columbus Grove, Fraternal Order of Eagles #691 Wapakoneta, and UAW Ford Local 1219. He enjoyed fishing, mechanical work in his own barn and Brothers of the River. He especially loved spending time with his family.
