BROWN, BESSIEBessie C. Brown, 1940-2024: Bessie Brown passed away peacefully on July 16, 2024, at the age of 84. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama and spent most of her life in the Chicagoland area. Bessie, a devoted wife of 69 years to Charles A. Brown, Jr., was a woman skilled in many areas. Her career included business manager of her husband's plumbing business and employment for a short time with the City of Chicago. Bessie loved cooking delectable meals for her family and friends and was well known for her German Chocolate Cake. Bessie was a loving mother, grandmother, and her family meant everything to her. Celebration of Life for this Phenomenal Woman will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Gatling Chapel, South Holland, IL.
